Name the promises that keep breaking
We start with the commitments you have made to yourself more than once and dropped more than once. Not goals. Promises. Usually there are two or three, and usually they are smaller than expected.

The Eleven Octave Method is about one thing: the distance between what you said you would do and what you actually did. No group. No motivation speech. You leave with three actions for the next seven days and a way to check whether you did them.
Built from a framework I developed with men in mind. Open to any adult ready to do the work.
Before you book
I would rather you read this and close the tab than pay me for the wrong thing. If the left column is you, book. If anything in the right column is you, don't.
What happens in the session
The structure is deliberately narrow. The premise of the method is that the thing most often missing is not information but follow-through — so the session spends its whole length on that, and on nothing else.
We start with the commitments you have made to yourself more than once and dropped more than once. Not goals. Promises. Usually there are two or three, and usually they are smaller than expected.
Every dropped commitment has a specific point of collapse — a time of day, a person, a mood, an order of operations. We locate it precisely rather than blaming discipline in general.
Concrete, dated, small enough that they survive a bad week. You choose them. I will push back on anything vague, and on anything that is really five actions wearing one name.
One thing you have been avoiding on purpose — a conversation, a number you have not looked at, a task you keep rescheduling. Also your choice, and you set the size of it.
Before the call ends, we build the simplest possible way to record whether each action happened — a physical mark, a note, a text. If it is not written down somewhere, it did not get tracked.
Three ways in
Every price below is the whole price. Nothing here is a subscription, nothing renews, and there is nothing priced above $99. I work with adults anywhere in the United States — the sessions are by video, and the written option has no location requirement at all.

Built for someone who wants to test whether this kind of conversation is worth their time before committing an hour to it.
Book 30 minutes — $39Full refund up to 12 hours before the call.
Built for someone who already knows what they have been avoiding and wants the whole thing on the table in one sitting.
Book 60 minutes — $99Full refund up to 12 hours before the call.
Refunds, stated plainly. The $19 diagnostic: email me within 14 days and I will refund it, no questions and no argument — even though the file is already yours. The sessions: cancel or reschedule any time up to 12 hours before and you get a full refund; afterwards, if the session did not deliver what this page said it would, tell me within 7 days and I will refund it. Refunds go back to your original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer.
Read this before you pay
Paid work on behavior — specifically, the gap between what you have said you would do and what you have actually done repeatedly. It is educational and behavioral coaching, delivered either as a written document you buy and use on your own, or as private video sessions, depending on which option on this page you choose.
This is not therapy, counseling, psychotherapy, medical care, psychiatric care, addiction treatment, trauma treatment or crisis support. It is not a substitute for any of them. Rodney D. Phillips Jr. is not a licensed therapist, counselor or medical provider, and nothing in this session is a diagnosis, an assessment of your mental health, or a treatment plan. No outcome is guaranteed.
If you are in crisis, having thoughts of harming yourself, in active substance withdrawal or dependence, in an unsafe situation, or currently under care where a program like this might interfere — this is not the right thing for you today, and I would rather tell you that than take your money. If you are already working with a therapist or physician, talk to them first.
I keep private notes so I can follow up with you, and I keep anonymous, aggregated notes about what patterns come up across customers so the method improves. I will never publish anything identifying you without your written permission. Please do not include medical or mental-health information in your intake form — it is not needed and I should not be holding it.
If you need help now. In the United States, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, 24 hours a day. In an emergency, call 911.
Who you will be talking to
I am not a therapist and I am not a guru. I am a self-taught singer and songwriter from Jacksonville who has also worked food service, retail, entertainment, warehouse operations, industrial electronics, logistics, sales and EV sales, and been self-employed.
Almost everything I can do, I learned without a teacher — singing, piano by ear, basketball, barbering, chess, breath control. Not because I have unusual talent. Because I did each one repeatedly, badly, for a long time, before I did it consistently. That gap between repeatedly and consistently is the only thing this method is about.
If it must be done, shut up until it is.
The clearest example I have is physical. I lost 70 pounds doing home workouts and making better eating choices, and went from struggling to finish 30 push-ups to doing 50 comfortably, with a personal high of 74. None of that came from a program or a coach. It came from noticing the exact point where I quit — the specific hour, mood and excuse — and building something small enough to survive it.
That is what I bring to the work. Not credentials, and not motivation. A specific kind of attention: I have spent years watching where my own commitments break, so I am hard to bluff, and I will not let a vague answer pass as a good one. I run every session myself. There is no team, and no one is standing behind me.
Those are my own results from my own practice. They are not a forecast of yours, and nothing here is offered as evidence that this method produces them for anyone else.
Questions
No. This is a conversation about behavior and follow-through, run by someone who is not a licensed clinician. It does not diagnose anything, does not treat anything, and is not a substitute for therapy or medical care. If what you are carrying belongs in a clinical setting, I will say so on the call and point you toward it rather than take your money.
No. I built this framework with men in mind, and that origin is real — I am not going to paper over it to look more marketable. But nothing in the actual work is specific to one sex. Naming a promise you keep breaking, finding the exact hour it breaks, and choosing three actions small enough to survive a bad week does not change depending on who is doing it. Any adult who read the two columns above and recognized themselves in the left one should book.
What I will not tell you is that this has already been proven to work equally well for everyone. I do not have that evidence yet. I would rather say so than sell you a certainty I have not earned.
Answer a short set of questions when you book — a few minutes, no essays. Do not send medical or mental-health details; they are not needed. Bring one honest answer to one question: what have you told yourself you would do, more than once, and not done? That is enough to start.
You don't, and I am not going to pretend otherwise — nobody can promise you a change in your own behavior. What I can put in writing is exactly what the session contains, exactly what it costs, exactly what you walk away holding, and exactly how to get your money back if it wasn't that. Everything on this page is specific on purpose so you can judge it before you pay. If you want to ask me something directly first, email me and I will answer it myself.
Only the other things already listed on this page, and only if one of them is genuinely the right next step. If we run out of room in 30 minutes, I will say so and tell you the 60-minute session exists — once, plainly, at the end. What I will not do is hold back the work you paid for in order to sell you the longer version. There is no program, no retainer, no membership and no subscription behind this page, and there is nothing priced above $99.
Not ready to pay for anything
Most people who read a page like this close it and never come back, and I would rather stay in contact than pretend otherwise. Leave your email — and your number if you want it — and I will send you what I write about follow-through, plus a note when something new opens up. No automated pressure campaign, and you can be gone with one word. If you tell me a little about your situation here, I will have read it before we ever speak.
That is the entire offer, whether you buy the $19 written version or sit down with me for an hour. If it sounds smaller than what other people are selling, that is deliberate — the small version is the one that gets finished.
